I only had a few minutes to chat with a woman who was working at the Robinson Droogdok (dry-dock). Leonora Wilmore explained that the ship was Russian and was there for repairs.
I could see as many as a dozen people working on the exterior and on the deck. She said many more were inside doing welding and we could see some sparks coming out, but wasn’t sure exactly how big the crew was.
Wilmore said the ship has been there for about two weeks. Once the exterior repairs are finished it’ll be moved to a different location to finish internal repairs so that another boat can come in to this dock. There is a constant movement of boats coming in to this dock for repairs.
Did you learn what type of ship it was? It’s use/purpose?
No, sadly! She didn’t know and I didn’t have time to investigate further.
